Hey there, and welcome to Hello Miss Karli! My name is Karli Evelyn—otherwise known as “Miss Karli” to my students. (I wasn’t a fan of the whole Miss thing at first. But I’ve got to say it makes me feel fancy.) I lead CHOSEN 2:42—an awesome group of middle schoolers and high schoolers, and I can’t wait to tell you more about us.
I’m a twenty-something who loves God and telling other people about Him—especially teenagers. In other words, I LOVE youth ministry.
Did you notice that I said I “love” it?
I’m not an expert.
I haven’t done this my whole life.
I’m not the best.
I said that I love it. That’s it. God has taught me so much in my short time in student ministry. I simply adore hanging out with emotional, hormonal, unpredictable teenagers. And I’m guessing that if you’re here, you do, too. This blog is for you.
Or, maybe you’re someone that was summoned to lead the “youth class” at your church with little to no budget…and you feel like you are WAY in over your head. This blog is for you.
Maybe you’re a small group leader who is ready to dive a little deeper into the way that you lead. This blog is for you.
Maybe you have volunteered to start a youth group, but you haven’t felt like a “youth” for a long time. This blog is for you.
Whatever your reason is for stopping here, I’m glad you did. My prayer is that God will allow me to help you in whatever way He sees fit. I promise, I don’t have this whole student ministry thing figured out; however, I’m excited for us to learn together.
Let’s get started.
